The Children's Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT)
CAFT provides free, week-long, residential holidays and activities for 3,000 disabled and disadvantaged children each year. For the children visiting CAFT, a holiday is much more than a treat - it is a lifeline, a desperately needed opportunity to relax, have fun, try new activities, make new friends and build treasured memories that will last forever.
The Wessex Youth Trust's donations have gone towards funding a number of holidays for children with a wide variety of needs, including severe physical and learning disabilities, as well as economic deprivation, bereavement and physical abuse. The holidays are residential and include all meals, activities, transport and offsite activities, including tailor-made programmes of activity to suit individual needs.
"The latest grant from The Wessex Youth Trust has literally changed the lives of children, who, due to their impairment, can feel incredibly isolated and insecure."
Paul Farrington, Chief Executive
